The INSERM U1132 BIOSCAR « Biology of bone and cartilage » unit is focused on chronic bone and joint diseases whose aim is to understand the mechanisms of disabling diseases and to targeted therapies.

The characteristic of BIOSCAR is to investigate the pathophysiological mechanisms

The general approach is based on cohorts, and integrates basic research through the development of murine and cellular models to explore molecular mechanisms and therapeutic targeting. This achieves an effective bridge between clinical and basic research.
